MAC Mineralize Blush - Improvise

When MAC Colour Craft comes out with a range of mineralize blusher, my heart skips a beat. Well, everyone knows how much I love my blushers and MAC Dainty mineralize blusher have been my ultimate favourite.

I was torn with choice and end up getting Improvise, with some help form Ai-Lynn who drops by.

It's definitely a nice colour to have and own. I guess I haven't fall head over heels for it yet. My house lighting does not help at all. I definitely love it's peachy light coral colour thought albiet a little shimmery.

Glowy or Shiny? I can't help feeling a little glittery when I wear it out on the noon. Better for night though and no MSF needed. :)

Can it beat Dainty? Definitely not, can be improve (pun intended.)

L to R - Dainty, Improvise.

Improvise definitely looks more coral and less pinkish when compare to Dainty. One more to add into my blusher collection. Well some girls love lipgloss, my love lies on blusher... heh

E.L.F and Daiso

My venture to cheaper make up :)

Honestly, I would say I am a little afraid at first but everything turn out so far so good :)

E.L.F. is known for its USD$1 products and Daiso just recently open in Malaysia sells everything for RM5. When I say everything, it's literally everthing! Make-up, stationary, this and that and this.

I got this E.L.F all over colour stick from Singapore SASA. If I am not wrong its around SGD$5. Defintely not as cheap when you convert it to MYR but I guess its alright since I sucks at buying stuff online.

The colour is called Persimmon, tried swatching but camera can't take no shit.

I like this stick. It give a light subtle shimmer to cheekbone. I love to put on top of my cheekbone after some blushers. Seems to be working not bad. Always wanted some highlighting stick that sort. This is a good and cheap alternative. A minor rant would be when I accidentally put a little too much, I feel a little waxy... but its RM10 bucks anyway, no complains!

Moving on to Daiso, after reading it so much online and friends raving bout it, of course I must go. And it was so nice meeting Beetrice (Beetrice Reviews) and Connie (Skindeco) and Tine (Beautyholic Anonymous) and the rest of the beauty bloggers :) after stalking their blog so much..

I have gotten the blusher and the dial concealer which May loves so much. RM1o bucks for both of it. Damn. I like the price. :)

I have tried the concealer, it stings my under eyes abit.. eek or perhaps it could be because the skin there is so freaking dry. Also it could be not the concealer fault since even when I apply moisturizer, it stings too. sigh. I can't bring myself to buy eyecream. Freaking RM40-RM50 for such a small tube. I think I must try the concealer a couple more time to mention my like and dislike. My Bobbi concealer is hitting the pan at one of the corner. Heartache!

As for the blusher, Connie from Skindeco recommended it to me. Thank you!

It does look a little similar to MAC Dainty, maybe a little more matte.

I try comparing it with my others blusher. The blusher is named Beige, however I felt it look nowhere near beige. Its like a sweet light pink/coral (oh man I sucks at describing the colours.) I like the colour. yay! hehe

I tried swatching of MAC Dainty (bottom) and Daiso Beige Blush(top). I have tried it and it gives a nice flush. Slight more pigmented than MAC Dainty but less frosty. Still have a very light shimmer on it. Whee another blusher for me. :)

Bourjois Blusher

Current blusher that I am utilising quite a lot, Bourjois Blush Rose De Jaspe.

It came with a cute brush, which I put aside.

It a quite sweet pink plumish colour with some gold shimmer. lovely. :)

I also have tried comparing with my other powder blusher.

It quite a unique colour and it is also slightly scented. It took me so long to realise what the scent is. It smelled like sweet plum. haha.

This blusher is quite worthy of my $20 aud. However my only complain would be this is the smallest blusher pot/pan I ever have.

Blushers

I really have no idea how some beauty blogs can be so dedicated and post up stuff everyday. Lucky they do or else I will have to read miserable finance news or something.

I think I was bored one night and start swatching all my blushers on my arm.

1. The Body Shop Sun Lustre Bronzer
2. Lancome Blush Subtil (casing faded, no colour name)
3. MAC Dainty
4. TBS Sun Lustre Bronzer + Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge Pale Pink
(I got to mixed a new colour :) )
5. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Pale Pink
6. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Pink Truffle

I think the blusher that I currently utilise the most is MAC Dainty.

Easy application and the colour pay off won't be too heavy for work. As you can see from the swatches its actually one of the lightest. I love it as it give me this sort of glowing, natural no blusher look without looking pale. (or so I think it does... )

My second runner up would be between Lancom Subtil or BB Pot Rouge.

This two pic I capture is closes to its real colour.

I love Lancome one for its easy application as its powder form but it can be quite pigmented but if applied lightly, its look pretty peachy and pretty.

For BB, don't let the pink scares you! ok it scares me a bit too last time. Since its a cream blush, the application take a little more time as it need to be blended. Once blend nicely, I look like I have a healthy dewy flush, none of the other blushers give me that type of dewy look. One pot goes a long way too...

Before blending

After

See not too bad right? :)

Blusher can be such a pretty thing sometimes.

I can't wait to lay my grubby little fingers on NARS Blushers. Oh and Majorlica Majorca and and and MAC Petticoat! ok and the list goes on.
