MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack

I had finally got MAC fluidline! and it is one word. A.w.e.s.o.m.e. No idea why I have waited so long to get a gel eyeliner as an eyeliner lover. sigh. Also thanks to Ai-Lynn for getting it for me and bring to Aussieland!

Without flash

With flash

The colour I got is blacktrack, which is a rich matte black. No doubt about it.Tried comparing with my other black eyeliner and they fall way behind.

left to right - MAC Fluidline, Shu Uemura liquid eyeliner, The Body Shop eyeliner

With one swipe, MAC fluidline beat my Shu Uemura liquid one which I applied two swipes. As for TBS one.. sigh it doesn't even look black next to them.

I have tried wearing fluidline for a couple of days and wore it for 12 hours and it hardly fade. As for the lower eyeliner (especially waterline) it only lasted a couple of hours. Can't complain nothing last on my waterline more than a couple of hours even Shu Drawing Pencil.

Definitely will want to try more gel eyeliner :)

The Body Shop Cream Shadow and Eyeliner

When Mayrcks was down in Melbourne to visit me, we went to The Body Shop in Bridge Road. The Body Shop there seems to be like a sort of factory/sales outlet and many products are often on discounts. Definitely a bath, body and make up galore!

I was hesitant to spend that day (bad financial economy day) but Mayrcks treated me with an eyeshadow and eyeliner! whee! She definitely make me day :)

The cream eyeshadow was selling for AUD$2! We even tried swatching there and it's pretty and not faulty.

The colour is called Arctic Ivy and it's a pretty, light silvery colour with shimmer. Since it's a cream eyeshadow, I reckon it will be a good eyeshadow base. However, it's not waterproof at all when I rinses off the swatches.

It even come with a doe applicator stick which can be convenient and avoid over squeezing the cream out.

Metallic eyeliner! I had a friend using The Body Shop liquid eyeliner and she say it's pretty awesome. Easy to applied and easy to remove.

It's called Bronze brown and have a pretty metallic finish. And the price! It's only AUD$5! Even if I convert to RM, it is still much cheaper as in Malaysia the eyeliner are sold about RM40++ right?

When I'm having a better financial time, I will re-visit that Body Shop.

MAC Technakohl Earthline

I don't really spend much on MAC eventhough they look extremely lovely, the price in Malaysia is too expensive... However I got my first MAC technakohl from the Estee Lauder Warehouse two years back. A pretty good warehouse sales I would say.

When I first got this liner, I like it. Easy to apply, the colour comes out easily. Don't smudge and long lasting.

But I grow to love it more when I know how natural it looks and especially when people tell me I look good with it. A couple of times :):)

So yeah, I finished the first one and repurchase. One of the first few make up that I actually repurchase. The original price is about RM62. Well worth it as I love the colour and its quite natural looking. Definetely a good investment.

NYX and LA Colors

Good news! I finally found NYX in Melbourne! wooohoo.. but the selection was rather small. I was at Smith St. today trying to look for a pair of running shoes. Smith St. is quite famous for sports factory outlet store. Towards the end of the street, I saw a store with sign 70% off on brand cosmetics. (edit: found my receipt! the store is called Cos Cut Cosmetics)

I went in, and... damn it was pretty good. A lot of different brand at quite cheap price. Brands like Maybelline, L'oreal, Covergirl, LA Colors, Max Factor, NYX and some brands I have never heard off. A lot of beauty tools too. I walked around and end up with this two.

I have limited time and budget in there. :(

The range for NYX was rather limited, mostly NYX ranges are lipliners (a lot of colours!), a few eyeliners, some lip gloss and only one trio eyeshadow. Didn't get it, the colours was too pastel for me. :(

I think I was too excited and came home and swatches them. I love eyeliners, so I got this and try. The pencil is pretty smooth and colour came out rather easy. I just hope it doesn't smudge easily. I shall test it out tomorrow. (tested: and not bad the colour remains after 10 hours, no smudges unless I rub it hard.)

I love the dark blue-ness. Remind me of my this Shu eyeliner. Best of all this eyeliner is only $4.00! whee.

I read about LA Colors from Connie. The palattes cost $5.95 and I check Cherryculture, the price wasn't marked up!

This palattes is called Fabulous, not bad in my opinion.

The last 3 swatches seems to be more pigmented while the first two are better for highlighting. The middle colour look plum-ish but turned out more brown. weird. I haven't try wearing it though. Will try it out soon. I hope its not too hard to blend them.

I think I have to visit that store again.

Update: Round 2 NYX eyeliner testing, smudge like hell when I line my bottom lid. sigh. :(

Lumiere Black Cherry

I think this is my new favourite eye shadow.

I got this from my Lovingminerals.com haul and its totally awesome. My first time with mineral eyeshadow.

The colour is dark purple which almost black with shimmer.

Here a swatch of the loose eyeshadow

The colour is wonderful for eyeliner and eyeshadow. However when applied as eyeliner, it does not seems to be long lasting. Perhaps because of its loose pigment.

Here a picture of it as eyeliner, please do not mind my greasy hair.. I think its because my hair is still wet and its microshot :P

I have also used it as an eyeshadow and its nice :) I assured you it look wonderful for smoky eyes if you don't want just the usual black. :)

Here a poor attempt picture of it, I used Benefit Stilettos as base, make it more lasting and stand out more. The picture sucks though. The colour is nicer real life.

I think I must try more of this. hehe.

Ellefar Make Eyeshadows.

I did some testing but my photography skill failed me tremendously and I picked the best out of it.

It's my first time reviewing with urm...my eyes.

I am reviewing an eyeshadow I got from Daiso @ RM5 named Ellefar Make. The sidelines today is kate eyeshadow & mac eyeliner.

(L-R: Kate line spicy, mac eyeliner & ellefar make eyeshadow from Daiso)

(L-R: Invisible white, orangy red, grayis purple and maroon)
Tgese are the swatches from Daiso eyeshadow. It looks a bit like the L'Oreal eyeshadow; probably imitation or similiarity to it. They are very matte. No shinny glittering. and the lightest color which is white is probably the most camoufludge to my skin. You can't barely see it here. Then it has the orangy red, grayish purple and maroon.

(The colors are actually darker in real life.Sorry for lousy pictures. Sorry for the lousy skin as well, didn't put on foundation as I was bored on CNY eve and thought of playing it spontaneously.)
I used all four color of Ellefar make and only gold from Kate line spicy to high light the eye lid and the bottom light to create a fresher eye.Maroon was placed at the inner eye lid, followed by orangy red with some touch of gold and the upper bone was grayish purple. And the Mac gel eyeliner to highlight the eye and half of the bottom lid.

The Ellefar make has its pros and cons. The color came out nice, easy application, no small little powder falls on the cheek when application and it's very matte. I wore it to work the other day and it lasts almost the whole day without retouching. Plus, I have oily face. For an oily face, this eyeshadow is good for the price you pay. The colors are strong except for the almost invisible white which you can use for a little highlight. It's pretty good for a RM5 product.

*The eyeliner and Kate eyeshadow, I will review later. hehe

So this is the first review from me. Hope you ...enjoy it. :)

Daiso Haul 2

Its hard to resist going into Daiso everytime I'm in Curve now. Its so tempting to oogle at the rows of five bucks make up and discover some wonders :)

These the stuff that I bought home with me, a make up corrector pen/stick and a eyeshadow/liner pencil.

This make up corrector is also recommended by May and it is totally awesome! If you have smear any mascara or eyeliner out of place, simply draw it over with this stick annnnnddd voila, wipe with tissue and gone :) no smear nothing!

The tip feels like a marker but a little bit more waxy. Awesome my sizzle. Get it!

I took another 10 min to choose this, wondering between this eyeshadow stick or some random eyeliner or mascara. I guess the colour attracted me, the pretty deep forest green.

Look, nice green ain't it?

The colour on the pencil looks deep, however the swatch seems brighter and not so deep toned and also look much blue-er. This swatch does not show its exact colour. :( I hate my camera.
The texture is pretty smooth and easy application, however it is 0% smudge proof. I can rub it off with my finger... sigh. wasted.

All in all, interesting buy. I'm using it as a thick eyeliner line with little smudges and lined with another green eyeliner on top.

Rimmel in Malaysia

The first time I saw this brand was in Melbourne and read a great review about it's eyeliner in Karen's blog.

So I was pretty excited when it came to Malaysia and is wasn't really expensive. The pricing range is like from RM13.90 onwards. Of course I will buy something.

These are two eyeliners that I bought, Extreme Defination (Two-Tone Eye Definer) and Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer.

It's green and purple! Nice :)

For the two-tone eye definer, it's easy to use and apply smoothly. However it's not very long lasting. Wore it to work and it smeared and faded slightly. The lighter part is very useful, help to create a fresher looks when you underline the bottom.

My failed attempted to capture it. *How does anyone get to capture such clear picture of their eye makeup!*

Meanwhile for this purple beauty, it can last... and last. Wore it to club and it did not smear. Yay! and it is cheaper, around RM15.90 after 10% discount. Oh ya, it remind me of MAC technakohl which I loved so much.. almost on par.. almost. so close. haha

Worth buying. :) I have a feeling I might buy more of Rimmel.

Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner

My first review on this blog. Not sure if anyone is reading this. Say hi ok if you're reading my review.

Disclaimer: I am not pro but I tested out this product. It's just my POV.

I bought Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner in Black from Guardian, few days ago.
It says here "Ophthalmologic Tested-Long Wearing"
Ophthalmologic in short called " the science of eyes" (according to Wikipedia.org)

I consulted the sales girl asking if it's smudged proof. She was a very honest and said No... The reason I bought it is because 1) the sales girl is honest 2) It's on discount 3) I need a new crayon eyeliner.

For best result, I tested it on without any eyeshadow or mascara.

I must say, it's easy to put it on. Not much of hard energy needed compared to other crayon eyeliner. Plus, it's smooth while putting it on.

Tips: If you want to have a bigger or brighter eyes, eyeliner can achieve that by drawing half instead of full on your bottom eye.

Right after a few minutes (I swear on my eyes), it smeared. The picture might not be clear because I suck at taking make up pics. But you notice at the end of my eyes, there's a lighter black. Yes, that's the smudge.

I know I shouldn't have purchase it despite a warning from the sales person.

So I would not use this for a long day because it's not suitable for long wearing; even if you'll stay air conditioned all day.
