Manicare Artiste Professional Stippling Brush

MAC 187 has always been in my wishlist for the longest time and it's still in the wishlist due to the extremely high price. RM239 and AUD$90 for a brush? mad.


So when I was reading Tine's blog one day and found out about her review on Artiste Professional brush. $17 dollar for a skunk brush? pretty good deal!


Found it in Priceline (local pharmarcy) and check it out a couple of time before I get it. I'm pretty frugal when come to buying make up :P



The brush is pretty soft and I think it's make out of synthetic hair. Wash it and it hardly shed. :) Does not feel scratchy at all too.



The brush of course not as dense as my Everyday Mineral Flat Top brush but it's a stippling brush. Meant to be this way, I think. Where the two different colour of hairs is different level.

I had used it with my MAC MSF and it give a really nice glow without looking OTT. Great buy and it control my lemming for MAC 187 till later.

I have been good and haven't bought any make up for the last few weeks. Haha. Sad. I am so tempted to get something.

Since I have nothing to blog about, I blog about my brushes. Hard earned collection.

I have got a set of brush from Shu Uemura. Its like a holiday collection for 2007 I think. The size of the brushes are slightly smaller than their usual ones but not those miniature type.



Just a quick picture to show you the size. I like it that the handle its not too long or bulky.


I got this set less than RM200 I think. It was around RM180-RM190. The brushes quality are pretty good and decent I think. Blushers,concealer, eyeshadow and eyeliner/lip brushes. Pretty good price for that I reckon. I like the case it come with too. Black and quite sleek but can collect a little bit of dust.


However after one year plus I felt like the blusher brush is not as soft and the colour bleed a lot! Super a lot. The brush hair is made out of goat. I still use it for blusher. Meanwhile the concealer is made out of nylon while both eyeshadow and eyeliner brush are made out of sable.I think my favourite brush among that 4 is the concealer and eyeshadow. The eyeliner brush are pretty good too.

As an eyeliner freak, I bought the Shu 2R too. I heard it was pretty good and damn it is. I tried it with my cream eyeshadow as eyeliner and it work pretty well. Worth every dollar.


I can't really remember the price, I think it is about RM60 but I got a discount that time. :):)

The next one is from Ecotools Foundation brush. I have always wanted their brush so much. Sigh. I have no idea why last week I saw the powder brush and I did not get it. This foundation brush I got it last year.


Honestly I think its quite good even thought I don't use much liquid foundation. The brush hair is synthetic and seems quite silky. The brush is not too soft but not hard either so when you applied liquid foundation its easy to handle. Smoother application too! I should utilise this brush more.

Another 2 more of my favourite brush, and oddly it is both for mineral makeup which I actually hardly use. One is Everyday Mineral and the other is The Body Shop.


Both are equally good, the brush hair are thick and dense. Oh and it is suppppppper soft.

The price are pretty decent too especially for Everyday Mineral Flat top which is around RM30 plus. I usually uses the flat top for powder foundation. Give my a good coverage. Meanwhile for The Body Shop I uses it for blusher and bronzer. I know its for fondation but we can mix around don't we ;)

Ok.. I shall save money and get more eyeshadow and powder brush.. haha.

Lumiere Cashmere foundation and Everyday Minerals Flat Top brush.

I can't resist the mineral make up I bought yesterday from Loving Minerals and quickly tried it on today.

Top L to R : Lumiere Cashmere Foundation (Light Medium Golden), Everyday Minerals (Fairly Light), Lumiere Pure Silk Finishing Powder (Sand)
Bottom L to R: Lumiere Blushers (Fresh Roses), Lumiere All Over Colour (Soft Radiance), Lumiere Flawless Finish Powder (Sheer)


Since I'm only going out of the house to do some last min CNY shopping, I only try out Lumiere Cashmere Foundation, light medium golden.



Tried swatching the colour, its very smooth and soft powdery form. Honestly I have no idea how much is enough for my face.




I use this amount for half my face and add almost same amount for the other half.

Is that amount enough? Someone help me!

Verdict: Very lightweight and very light coverage but I'm wondering is it because I did not apply enough. I like the fact that I do not feel like I have heavy make up on but it does not cover flaws like my liquid foundation. Its good for everyday use though for me since I hate having foundation on because of the 'heaviness'.

Maybe I should have include the finishing powder too, better coverage perhaps. Alright, I will try it out and update.

On to the Everyday Minerals flat top brush,


this brush is like a little heaven. So so so soft, its even softer than my Body Shop Kabuki brush.

Look how dense. :)

I love the brush and applying the mineral foundation with it is a breeze. However it shed a little, sob. A few strand was sticking out when I was testing it out. Lets hope it won't shed more.


I can't wait to try the rest of the mineral make up! Feel like a small kid :) :) :)

Weekend Haul - Mineral Make Up

Finally I dips my little toes into Mineral Make Up after looking at it for so long.

Truth to be told, my interest is spark of by Everyday Mineral Flat Top brush first.
Soft and dense. How can someone not be interested.

I found out about Loving Minerals after surfing around about make up and had also been reading bout it in some local blogs.

Put my orders, and here it is! :)


Actually I have only ordered the Everyday Minerals flat top brush and a Lumiere deep liner (black cherry). I got a sample of Sand, finishing powder from the purchase too. yay!

Upon COD, Lynn from Loving Minerals brought some sample size along with her,Yay for me!
As I always wanted to try this sample size set (3 foundations, 1 finishing and 1 blusher) but never want to get it because I am clueless about my foundation shade. I get to choose it on the spot and purchase.

Oh and I got a new make up remover. The Simple one is utterly useless... sorry to say.

It's so pretty that my heart ache when I brush across it with my brush.





Thanks to a kind friend I got this for 50% and brand new. So did May too. (faster post up your review on it!... haha)

I haven't really use it properly. Had only tried to sweep it on top of my blusher. Give a nice shimmer and slightly darker tone. Sometimes I think I enjoy the process of buying the make-up more than using it. sigh. Will update more when I used more of it.




Also I bought the new kabuki brush from Body Shop. This brush is like godsend... it beat my Shu Uemura blusher brush. All I feel like doing when I first got it was rubbing it against my skin. It is that soft and smooth. It's really worthy considering how expensive brushes can be. This only retail at RM78.. I think.

This is a must buy.. I'm tempted to get another one... crazy.
